About us

Fit. Healthy. Happy.

I started life in the world of corporate events. I loved the running around at the conference but hated the "sitting behind a desk" part. Outside of work I cycled. I trained hard on the bike and at the gym leading me to complete several long distance rides for charity. I loved the active lifestyle but I also loved helping people. All I had to do was to marry the two together.

With the help of an intensive 7 week personal training course I did just that. Once the fitness door was open I learnt as much as I could. I did qualifications in indoor cycling, boxing, ante and post natal exercise, exercise referral (rehab), mental health, training and assessing for new fitness students. Who knows what I will do next...!!!

We started 2 Spuds in a Pod as a way to help people navigate the difficult times when your mental or physical wellbeing has taken a knock and it affects your everyday life in a negative way. We are here to offer guidance, advice and practical tips to keep you healthy and hopefully help you on your road to recovery.

With both personal and professional knowledge on both of these subjects, we felt it was about time we gave our experience to people who may have taken a knock recently. We are here for those sitting here at 3 o’clock in the morning, unable to sleep and wondering how they are going to get through the next few days and weeks when all they want to do is curl up under the duvet and hope it all goes away. We are here to give you tips and advice on how to stay healthy during a mental health battle. If you are unsure of where to turn, what to do next or if you need help then we are here to help you answer these questions. Along the way we are going to provide the information needed to family members, friends, colleagues, managers (and everyone else) to help them understand and support the individual.

We want to break the stigma for mental health. It does not have to stop you from leading a normal and happy life. We know because we have gone through several battles and are still living life to the fullest.
